Made a little lamp out of an old hummingbird feeder that the birds had rejected. Stuffed a battery operated led light string inside the glass and the battery box into the base. You can change the batteries. I learned to solder to move the switch out of the box.

FYI - they make USB-rechargeable versions of those string lights. They are awesome (compared to AAA and button-battery versions).

That’s good to know. I made it as a present for my mom so replacing AAs is probably better for her than finding a plug to plug it into.
